Acceptable Use

Last updated 2026-09-28 · applies to Envelt at envelt.com
Summary. Privacy is for people, not for abuse. Use Envelt for your own lawful correspondence. Do not spam, defraud, harass, distribute malware or illegal content, or attack anyone. We enforce this even though we keep no logs, because the abuse itself is visible to the people it hits.

1. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

2. Sending limits

Accounts are for personal or small-team correspondence. We apply per-account sending limits and may lower them for accounts that generate complaints. Bulk mail providers exist for bulk mail.

3. Forwarding addresses

Forwarding is for your own destinations. Do not create forwarders that relay to people who have not agreed to receive that mail.

4. How we enforce without logs

We do not monitor mailbox contents and could not read them if we tried. Enforcement is based on what is visible from outside: abuse reports, recipient complaints, bounce patterns, and behaviour of the sending account (volume, rejected recipients, blocklisting of our servers). When we act, we act on the account, not on a person, because we do not know who the person is.

5. Consequences

Depending on severity we may warn, limit sending, suspend, or terminate an account, and may remove custom domains from the Service. For illegal content we may be required to preserve what we hold (which is ciphertext and account metadata) and to report to authorities.

6. Reporting abuse

Report abuse originating from envelt.com or a domain hosted here to abuse@envelt.com. Include full message headers. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days.
